Buildify highlight some great tools that can help in the blog writing process. These are all freely available, although there is a bias towards Firefox here (which I would support, given the flexibility of this browser).

Jott looked interesting as a way of converting voice into text – useful in the LiveBlogging scenario. I haven’t tried this service out but the theory sounds good!

Picnik is another service I can’t vouch for, but if you don’t have access to image editing software, this free online service could be just the ticket.
