Editing your Wikipedia entry

This one’s interesting given that although not strictly a part of SEO, having a presence on Wikipedia is pretty important given that the online encyclopedia snags pole position in so many search results pages.

There are a number of techniques you can use to gain visibility via Wikipedia (one fine example I’ve previously talked about is Wiki-jacking), but are these sound given the hype there has been around governments/companies editing listings for their own ends?

If you are thinking of going down this road, Hyku offer some key advice: use the discussion thread before you post. This way, you appear more transparent and at least invite feedback prior to ‘defiling’ a page.
